General Manager

Objective:
The General Manager utilizes and coordinates all services to meet the short and long term interests of the customers, the company, and its employees. An individual of this position possesses the required administrative and public relations skills needed to enhance the companies overall operations. S/he consistently provides our customers with the highest level of service possible and is also responsible for achieving budgeted revenue goals and monitoring of expenses.

- Has in depth knowledge of company operations
- Proficient in the use of word documents, spreadsheets and TGS
- Knowledgeable in various management accounting tools including budgeting, gross margin analysis, marketing, etc.
- Possesses exceptional written and oral communication skills

- Works exceptionally well unsupervised and under pressure
- Is trust worthy and reliable
- Maintains a professional image
Broad Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Instill in all employees the meaning and importance of customer service
- Empower staff to "use their best judgment" in all customer service matters
- Promote and monitor quality of service among staff through training and by acting as a positive role model
Personnel:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations
- Establish and implement short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness; implement changes required for improvement
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are communicated in a timely manner and adhered to accordingly
- Write performance evaluations and goal assessments for Supervisors and Office Clerks
- Maintain employee attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance and service
- Motivate and develop staff in order to achieve peak productivity and performance
- Maintain training standards to ensure both product and systems expertise
- Oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution
Budgeting and Planning:
- In conjunction with the President, formulate the fiscal revenue, expense and profit goals for the company
- Ensure that goals will be met through appropriate planning and organization of staff, inventory, and expenses for short and long term success
- Make staff aware of sales goals
- Take necessary action to lower expenses if sales goals are not being met
- Review on a monthly basis, the companies progress with the President
